First Howling : WE

The 2nd EP『“First Howling : WE』conveys the journey and growth of the nine boys who set out to look for “you,” who share the same struggles and aspirations as them. They once find themselves lost in their pursuit, but keep moving forward with a positive attitude, which eventually helps them unite with “you” and finally bask in the magical joy of meeting each other at last. They expressed their feeling of suffocation in the world they live in in their debut EP『First Howling : ME』, where they reckoned with their inner voice saying, “I want to challenge myself” and “I want to grow into a better person.” The boys intuitively sense that there might be someone out there who feels the same way - so they howl, and set out to find “you.” They run, led by their intuition and howling, but their journey is far from easy. However, they keep up their positive spirits and continue to search for “you” in spite of it all, motivated solely by their desire to meet “you.” They are finally united with “you” after overcoming adversities, and are rewarded with an overwhelming, ineffable feeling of elation and happiness, which the boys share with their friends.

In this EP, the nine boys are still gripped by their insecurities yet are determined to “change” and “grow,” and meet people who resonate with them along their journey. They are not sure if the path they have chosen is the right one, nor are they certain that the path will lead them to the answer they are looking for. But one thing is for certain: as long as they stay together, bound by the courage they gained the moment they became “WE” from “ME,” then surely, they could achieve anything. The boys continue their journey of growth, fueled by this magical and empowering feeling.

The EP starts with the lead single “FIREWORK” which expresses the overwhelming feeling of finally finding “you” in the likes of fireworks that paint the night sky. The pairing track titled “Road Not Taken” illustrates, with an energetic demeanor, the boys facing the challenges they experience during their journey to find “you.” “The moon is beautiful (translated)” is a poetic portrayal of the happiness and lovely emotions they share after finally being reunited with “you.” “Blind Love” is &TEAM’s first ballad and the theme song for the Japanese drama TV series Dr. Chocolate. The EP ends with the Korean versions of the second EP lead single “FIREWORK” and “Scent of You,” a track off the debut EP. This EP was created by a dream team of producers including Chairman Si-hyuk Bang (“hitman” bang), the mastermind behind BTS, Soma Genda, Vocaloid producer and singer songwriter syudou, as well as HYBE music producers FRANTS, Slow Rabbit, and Supreme Boi.
